What we do
Our programme is varied between teacher directed activities and spontaneous play. It is designed to empower children to grow up as competent and confident learners, physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually. We aim to provide meaningful learning experiences in a safe and warm environment to encourage the development of positive learning dispositions (taking an interest, being involved, persisting with difficulties, expressing an idea/feeling and taking responsibility for their learning) as the Te Whariki (New Zealand EC curriculum) promotes in young children. Our programme also includes Bible teaching, literacy and numeracy skills, music and movement, awareness and exploration of God’s creation.
School-readiness program
We follow the literacy programme of Barbara Brann by which children learn the right formation of the alphabet and numbers. In addition to that programme, children work towards developing the following skills/concepts to get them ready for a smooth transition for primary school.
